Residents Flock To Village – The Courier Mail

CONSTRUCTION of the first stage of Pradella’s Urban Edge apartment project is complete, with residents moving in to the six-level Vista building in the heart of Kelvin Grove Village.

Now renting, the new Vista apartments are in hot demand among those eager to enjoy the conveniences of inner-city living and the abundant lifestyle options within the village.

Just 2km from the CBD, the apartments are set in more than 0.4 hectares of private landscaped gardens and pool areas, offering a balance of inner-city living and tranquil, green surrounds.

Pradella development manager Brett Lents said the proximity to key infrastructure, education and entertainment precincts attracted variety of buyers.

“With uninterrupted city, park and golf-course views, and close proximity to QUT, RBH medical precinct, Suncorp Stadium and The Barracks, it is no wonder Urban Edge had recorded over $60 million in sales since launching last years,” Mr Lentz said.

“New research by Urbis shows a low inner-Brisbane vacancy rate and an ongoing apartment shortage driving Kelvin Grove rental growth up by 16 per cent for two-bedroom apartments.”

The six-level Vista building will soon be accompanied by the 12-level Horizons building now under construction. Together they will offer 206 contemporary, open-plan apartments.

With Vista already 80 per cent sold, a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments remain, from $409,000.

Urban Edge’s popularity is expected to surge further with the recent introduction of the state government’s new $15,000 first-home owner construction grant, applicable to newly constructed, or off-the-plan, property.
