WATERS EDGE APARTMENT ONE-OF-A-KIND
Award-winning Sydney based interior designer Ruth Levine has added her signature design to an apartment at Waters Edge, her first Brisbane-based interior design project in eight years.
With over thirty years' experience, Levine is the founder of prestigious interior design company Ruth Levine Interior Design, which creates bespoke homes for a wide range of clients from jet-setting executives to families.
Ms Levine partnered with Pradella to completely refurbish apartment 2504 in Waters Edge – a three bedroom, two bathroom abode with 13 metres of frontage to the Brisbane River that will never be built out.
The apartment now boasts Ms Levine's one-of-a-kind artwork and hand-picked feature pieces, and is on the market at $1.69 million including furniture.
Ms Levine says she anticipates the new look Waters Edge apartment will appeal to a well travelled couple who appreciate their own and other cultures.
"Apartment 2504 features a natural palette of limed timber oak flooring combined with light-washed white walls, which become the backdrop for the layering of visual and sensual texture," she said.
"Linen bed heads are juxtaposed against warm linen wallpaper in the bedrooms. The layering continues with chunky woollen throws, timber side tables and modern, graphic and eclectic artwork.
"I added splashes of white, tan, charcoal and beige with hints of inky blue to create a place with a distinct persona that is warm, vibrant, and playful whilst still offering the sense of calm and relaxation that people associate with home."
Apartment 2504 is being marketed by Platinum 360, with director Peter Malady saying three bedroom absolute riverfront apartments were becoming increasingly rare in Brisbane.
"There are very few absolute riverfront apartments available in the immediate area and Waters Edge has the added appeal of being nestled within a thriving village atmosphere," said Mr Malady.
"The majority of riverfront apartments in Brisbane are still aimed at the investor market, with smaller floorplans and mid-tier finishes, compared to Waters Edge apartments, which boast wide frontages, river views from all rooms and top shelf finishes.
"Apartment 2504 is simply stunning and was selected as the canvas for Ruth Levine's first Brisbane-based interior design project in recent years – so it really is something special.
"This is a completely unique opportunity to own what is essentially a liveable artwork. It is not just a home, it is a bespoke retreat, which tells a story through design, colour and texture. It is an enviable home that will reflect its owner.
"People say that our homes are often a reflection of who we are, and this home will resonate with those who enjoy the beauty of rare things.
"Whilst Ruth has put her own personal stamp on this apartment, there is still plenty of scope for the purchaser to use their own imagination to extend the character of the home and to tailor it to their own tastes."
Waters Edge comprises 234 apartments across two buildings – Drift and Reach – with a variety of two and three bedroom apartments along with a handful of one-bedroom units remaining available. Apartments in the exclusive Riverfront Collection at Waters Edge boast front row seats to the river with expansive 13 metre wide frontages, extra spacious living areas and superior finishes.
