March 1

Soul Sisats kirtan: The Journey Within

The Mantra Room, West End

Soul Sistas are a popular kirtan band known for their soulful and mellow kirtan style. With their beautiful four-part harmonies and simple, melodious tunes interwoven with powerful yoga mantras, they will take you on a journey to a place of peace and joy. Expect a relaxing evening as they weave gentle harmonies and gorgeous melodies with powerful sacred chants. Guests can also enjoy chai and vegan or vegetarian dinner on the night.

West End Markets

Davies Park, West End

Held every Saturday morning in Davies Park just 1km from The Lanes, West End Markets hosts 150 unique vendors bringing farm-fresh produce, delicious healthy fast food, boutique fashion and handcrafted gifts to the people of Brisbane. From 6am to 2pm every Saturday the park comes alive with amazing food, one-of-a-kind shopping, and superb live music underneath a canopy of glorious Moreton Bay Figs. A place for locals to mingle, dogs to sniff and visitors to explore, West End Markets is a must-visit this month!

March 7

Full Moon River Ride

Davies Park, West End

Heading off from Orleigh Park, just 600m from The Lanes, cyclists can experience a unique perspective of our beautiful river city by riding around Brisbane under the lights of the full moon. Starting near the Sailing Club, this route takes riders exclusively on bike paths around the Brisbane River through South Bank, Eagle Street Pier and the Botanical Gardens before returning to West End via the Go-Between Bridge.

Tuesday Trivia

Archive Beer Boutique, West End

Enjoy craft beers in a trendy bar and bistro surrounded by comfortable couches, bookshelves and comic-strip wallpaper while you enjoy Archive Beer Boutique’s Tuesday Trivia. Located just a short stroll away from Pradella’s Riverside West End precinct, this could be a great spot to enjoy an affordable meal and some fun among friends this month.

March 15

Cirque Mother Africa, QPAC

Located in South Bank’s Cultural Precinct, just 3km from Riverside West End, Cirque Mother Africa kicks off with an all-new show featuring the amazing hand-to-hand balancing act as seen on Australia’s Got Talent performed by the Ramadhani Brothers. The heartbeat of Africa pulsates throughout this jaw-dropping show as the musicians and artists transport audience members to the breath-taking continent of Africa. Seen by more than 2 million people worldwide, Cirque Mother Africa is guaranteed to captivate audiences young and old, combining the best of contortion, acrobatics, traditional dance, live music, pan spinning, hand balancing and more!

August River Band

The Bearded Lady, West End

Prepare yourself for cinematic lyrical noir, odd-time metal riffs played on acoustic guitars, soaring classical violin layers underpinned by heavy dub rock basslines, harmonies, and a heavy dose of poetic romance at this August River Band gig. Performing an energetic set while sharing the stage with special quests, legendary Brisbane band HAM, and a West End favourite, The Holy Rollercoasters, this is sure to be an excellent event showcasing local talent.
