South Brisbane Sailing Club

The South Brisbane Sailing Club is a family-oriented club located on the Brisbane River near Orleigh Park, close to Pradella’s Riverside West End precinct. An infamous local club, they host social sailing and championship races on Saturday afternoons from September through until April each year. If you’re new to sailing, you can even hire one of the club boats at affordable rates.  South Brisbane Sailing Club races a fleet of different boats and  they also run regular learn to sail courses for those looking to perfect their skills on the water!

RAW Art Club for Kids

RAW Art is a creative arts program for children which has been in operation since 1994. The RAW Art program is celebrated for being hands-on, educational and fun, and workshops include drawing, painting, printmaking, clay sculpture and weaving. With a creative workshop studio based in West End, RAW Art Club hosts popular Toddler Art, Kids After School Art Clubs and an extensive school holiday art program. They even offer Art Parties for the little who are celebrating something special!

West End Croquet Club

The West End Croquet Club is located on Cordelia Street and hosts a range of funded, non-funded and individual events at Musgrave Park. Extensively renovated and featuring stunning rolling lawns, West End Croquet Club is a picturesque location which acts as a welcoming gathering place where people can meet their neighbours, access support and work together to create positive change in their community.

Parkrun

Taking off just 3km from Riverside West End at South Bank, Parkrun is a free and friendly event held every Saturday at 7am where you can walk, jog or run the 5km course, or volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you! Organised entirely by volunteers, Parkrun has taken Australia by storm and is a great way to connect with your neighbours while staying fit and healthy.
