An unforgettable first look at The Lanes’ Rooftop Retreat

Residents at The Lanes have celebrated the completion of Wave Residences, marking the milestone with a glittering unveiling of the Rooftop Retreat.
The exclusive event saw residents rubbing shoulders with representatives from Pradella, Position Property and RCC Builders, in a nod to the collaboration behind the delivery of this stage of the development.
It was the first opportunity for residents to step onto the Rooftop Retreat and experience the space in all its glory. The milestone moment was met with audible “wows” as guests took in the Palm Lagoon Pool and its infinity-edge design, panoramic city views and the collection of luxury amenities positioned above vibrant West End.

Phones were quickly raised as residents captured the outlook and details of the space. Though for some, the moment was one to experience without distraction.
“I had tears,” said Wave resident Kim.
“I’m purposely not taking photos for my children. I want them to see this space for themselves, so they get the full wow factor.”
Pradella Sales and Marketing Director Lee-Anne Kielar described the occasion as an important milestone for The Lanes, with Wave Residences now complete and the community beginning to take shape.
“It is wonderful to see so many of you settling into your new homes and meeting your neighbours for the first time,” she said.
“The Lanes is one of the most ambitious projects within our Riverside West End masterplan.
“Over more than a decade, this $1.5 billion transformation has redefined riverside living in Brisbane, turning a once industrial pocket of West End into one of the city’s most sought-after lifestyle destinations.”
The Rooftop Retreat brings together the Palm Lagoon Pool, Lookout Bar and Terrace, wellness spaces and sweeping views across the city. Elevated above the energy of West End, the retreat has been carefully considered as a place for relaxation, connection and everyday enjoyment.

For some residents, the evening was also about imagining how the Rooftop Retreat would become part of daily life. Maty, who recently moved to The Lanes from Pradella’s Montague Markets development, said he was already planning weekly coffee catchups by the pool with work friends.
“Every Friday I catch up with mates over coffee from Cheeky Bean before heading upstairs. I’m planning to do the same now that I’ve moved to The Lanes,” he said. “Once they see this stunning rooftop area, they won’t want to leave the place.”

The evening also offered a relaxed opportunity for residents to connect with one another, many meeting their neighbours for the first time. Conversations flowed over canapés and drinks, with live entertainment by Beccy and the Jets providing a fitting soundtrack for the evening.
While the event celebrated the completion of Wave Residences, it also marked the next chapter for The Lanes, with construction continuing at the neighbouring Cascade Residences as the broader Riverside West End masterplan continues to evolve.
With the Rooftop Retreat now open, the space is set to become a defining feature of daily life at The Lanes, a shared place to unwind and enjoy West End from above.
