Edge Front and Centre – Courier Mail Home

Developer Pradella officially launches it latest apartment project today.

Urban Edge, in the heart of Kelvin Grove Urban Village, will ultimately comprise a trio of residential buildings.Stage one will include the six-level Vista building and the 12-level Horizons building.

Together the buildings will offer 195 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with prices at Urban Edge start at $375,000 for a one-bedroom residence. Meanwhile, stage two will include a 15-level, 176-apartment building. The development offers the highest building in the village, giving buyers uninterrupted views to the CBD, Victoria Park golf course and neighbouring parklands, Pradella development manager Brett Lentz said.

Kelvin Grove itself also represents an attractive proposition for astute investors and owner-occupiers, with strong transport connections and lifestyle benefits only available in inner-city locations.

There is an abundant array of options at Urban Edge such as cafes, restaurants, a full service supermarket, and specialty shops. Urban Edge is also close to the Paddington Barracks, Caxton St, and Suncorp Stadium. Mr Lentz said Urban Edge’s contemporary,open-plan apartments were set among 4300sq m of exterior living space as well.

There will be subtropical landscaping as well as pools and private gardens that wrap around the three buildings, he said. Property analyst Michael Matusik said Kelvin Grove had become a pulse point within the Brisbane property market.

Most people want to live close to a centre and will pay a premium for it.As Brisbane becomes more crowded, such pulse points will become verysought after and the inner west is where medium density has developed,he said.

Mr Matusik said Urban Edge was competitively priced, with prices comparable

to new apartment projects in middle-ring suburbs rather than to apartments close to the CBD. Urban Edge is located just two kilometres from the Brisbane CBD.
