Parklands Escape in Sherwood – Courier Mail Home

Pradella’s Parklands at Sherwood continues to lure buyers with four apartments worth $2.3 million sold this year.

This follows sales in the last two months of 2009 totaling more than $3.7 million.

Stages one and two of Parklands at Sherwood are now complete and the latest sales bring the number of apartments sold in the development to more than 60 per cent.

Pradella’s director of sales and marketing Ross Higgins said although home buyers were active again they were still exercising caution.

“There is no doubt that 2009 was a more difficult year for the property industry, but towards the end of 2009 and into the New Year we are seeing a growing optimism within the market,” he said.

“We expect a solid year in 2010, but buyers will remain vigilant and consequently developers need to innovate to provide lifestyle advantages and conveniences to continue to attract buyers.

Eight kilometers from the CBD, in a leafy pocket of Sherwood, Parklands offers the convenience of inner-city living paired with the lifestyle options of a suburban community.

Parklands is close to all amenities including schools, shopping and public transport.

Buyers can choose from a range of options including one, two and three- bedroom apartments priced from $379,000.

“In this market investors are looking for low-risk quality investments, while owner-occupiers are seeking low maintenance properties that deliver on lifestyle benefits,” Mr Higgins said.

Parklands offers a resort-style environment with a host of on site recreational facilities including an airconditioned gymnasium, 20-metre lap and wading pool, outdoors barbecue facilities and a multipurpose entertainment room featuring a projector screen, kitchenette, changing room, showers and toilet.
