Suburban Life with a Twist – The Courier Mail
A new model of suburban living at Sherwood has attracted strong interest from Brisbane families.
The Parklands at Sherwood developments, which provides a mix of apartments, villas and manors, has attracted buyers looking for an alternative to the traditional family home.
Project manager Nicholas Hinton said sales at the complex had remained strong this year. “Villas are providing extremely popular among families, as they are able to enjoy the spaciousness of a traditional house, while having access to excellent facilities such as a swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium, entertainment room and barbecue pavilions,” Mr Hinton said.
“Residents don’t have to worry about compromising the good old Aussie back yard either, as the 8.5-hectare community is 80 per cent green space, so there is plenty of room to kick a football.”
Parklands at Sherwood consists of 17 villas, 11 executive manors and a selection 82 one, two or three-bedroom apartments. Apartment prices start at $389,000, with three-bedroom villas from $699,000.
Villas all have parklands views, designer finishes and state-of-the-art appliances.
High school student Marcus Howell moved to Parklands at Sherwood with his family earlier this year and is enjoying the resort-style amenities on offer.
“If I get bored I can go for a swim in the pool or go to the entertainment room which has a huge projector screen and watch a movie with my friends. They are pretty envious,” he said. “I feel like I’m constantly on holidays.”
