The West End Christmas Twilight Market 

Who doesn’t love an excuse to spend an evening browsing, buying, eating and drinking under the glittering Christmas lights with friends and family? 

From December 1 at 4pm, Jingle all the way to the West End Markets’ usual location in Davies Park for a jolly of a time. 

From Christmas decorations to live entertainment, festive food and even the opportunity to get a snap with Santa, the markets are sure to kick off the festive season on the right note. For more details click here.

Christmas Tiny Doors 

Embark on a festive journey as you explore six Christmas-themed miniature doors scattered across the Brisbane CBD! Crafted by hand, each tiny door is a joyful nod to the holiday season, providing a delightful and free family activity. Experience the enchantment of the season through these charming surprises throughout December. 

Discover tiny doors at King George Square, Queen Street Mall, Burnett Lane, Edward Street, and Elizabeth Arcade.

Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree – Brisbane City  

Brace yourselves for a standout moment in Brisbane’s annual festivities—the Lord Mayor’s Lighting of the Christmas Tree, presented by The Lott by Golden Casket. 

Experience the magic with live musical performances of beloved Christmas melodies, featuring a special appearance by Dami Im. Watch as Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner lights up the impressive 22-meter tree, marking the beginning of the Christmas cheer in Brisbane! 

The festivities kick off at 6:20pm on Friday, December 1—make sure to plan your visit early. 

The Christmas Tree will grace King George Square, offering a picturesque backdrop for photos and a chance for everyone to revel in the holiday spirit in the city. For more details click here.

The Collective Markets Christmas Edition – South Bank  

Your Christmas shopping is sorted thanks to the Collective Markets’ Christmas Edition in South Bank. Running from 5 to 9 pm on Friday, December 15, and continuing from 10am to 9pm every Saturday from December 16 to December 23, you’ll discover handcrafted toys, jewellery, and other charming trinkets ideal for gifting. You can also taste festive treats, perfect for enhancing your Christmas feast.

Fish Lane Christmas Markets – South Brisbane 

The Fish Lane Christmas Markets will run on Sunday, December 16, from 9am to 1pm in South Brisbane. They include over 40 stalls featuring an array of independent local makers and designers selling the likes of ceramics, art, accessories, plants, dog accessories, natural skincare and more. This December, Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) timeless event, Spirit of Christmas, makes a triumphant return to the iconic QPAC Concert Hall. 

Featuring three of Australia’s foremost musical theatre talents alongside a lineup of special guests, the event promises an uplifting blend of seasonal melodies and cherished Christmas carols, performed by a full orchestra and the QPAC Chamber Choir.
